Mary Ann Sullivan

Mary Ann Sullivan is the author of an e-collection of poems, Mending My Black Sweater (Eratio, 2008); a novel, Child of War (Holiday House, 1984), a National Council of Social Studies and Children’s Book Council “Notable Book”; and numerous digital poems such as “What Can Burn, What Cannot” about Joan of Arc.
 
A former cloistered nun, Mary is today an Associate Professor of English at Hesser College, having received a Master of Fine Arts from Norwich University and a Doctor of Arts from Franklin Pierce University.
 
Her work has appeared at BBC Online, BlazeVox, French Literary Review, JacketMezzo Cammin, National Catholic Register, Poetry LibrarySynchronized Chaos and beyond. She has lectured at the New England Conservatory and American Association of University Professors Conference, and is founding editor of Tower Journal, an international online literary journal.
